ABOUT DARCI MACNAB

A CFO who lets you focus on growing the business versus working in the business.

I’m Darci MacNab, a strategic CFO, business advisor, and problem solver. I don’t just crunch numbers—I help businesses connect the dots, diagnose inefficiencies, and implement financial solutions that drive sustainable success.

My Approach:

Big Picture Thinking – I take a holistic view of financial health, ensuring all aspects of your business work together.
Hands-On Problem Solving – I dive deep into financial operations, helping businesses identify gaps and streamline systems.
A Connector You Can Trust – I bring in the right people, tools, and strategies to support your business growth.

My Background:

I am a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and an MBA professional, bringing a wealth of expertise in financial strategy and business transformation. I began my career in public accounting at PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC), where I built a strong foundation in accounting, financial statement preparation, and curiosity as an auditor.

I bring extensive experience in strategic financial leadership across a range of industries, including private equity-backed businesses and privately held companies.

Most recently, I have overseen key treasury functions, including intercompany funding across related-party entities, and managed complex aviation tax compliance related to fractional jet ownership. I was also part of an acquisition team for a large commercial real estate transaction.  I have implemented GAAP-compliant financial reporting, managed outside counsel relationships, negotiated contracts, and led legal reviews.

I have been responsible for optimizing business insurance coverage as part of broader risk management initiatives and have experience purchasing assets through bankruptcy via an Assignment for the Benefit of Creditors (ABC) process. Additionally, I developed and executed tax strategies across six affiliated operating companies structured as LLCs, S-Corps, and C-Corps.

At Rose Tarlow Melrose House, I served as a hands-on CFO, overseeing finance, HR, and IT functions. I led the successful closing of a commercial real estate purchase and development of the property and negotiated a multi-million dollar showroom lease.  I collaborated with investment bankers and private equity stakeholders to prepare a comprehensive pitch deck for a potential sale and presented monthly financials to the CEO and board of a private equity firm.

Within my first six months, I re-forecasted the operating plan, successfully delivered year-end results, and integrated a textile line into company operations.  I established monthly close procedures with full audit traceability, automated sales reporting, created sales and customer segmentation analysis, and introduced inventory and vendor performance KPIs such as lead time demand, cycle counting, and scorecards. I also managed critical vendor relationships and led the development and implementation of an IT systems roadmap and upgrade.

If you need a financial expert who brings strategy, clarity, and the right connections, let’s speak.
